A large part of making a successful brand is showing the world your great designs and often you will find yourself telling strangers those ideas that have taken you months or even years to develop. This could be for financial funding or when selling your products to stores. Unfortunately, there are people who might steal your ideas and use them as their own.
It has been know to have your idea rejected and to find that the same person has used those ideas themselves. Although not a highly common occurrence, this does happen and you should not have to live in fear of showing your designs and ideas.
In section two of the ebook I talk about design right and how to protect your designs from infringement. In the book I explain how and when to use confidentiality agreements when showing people your ideas. This is an example of what a confidentiality agreement looks like. It should be understood before using the sample that I am not a lawyer and if you use it for your own use then you are doing so at your own risk without any warranty from Start A Clothing Line. I recommend using a lawyer to draft up a confidentiality agreement for you based on copyright law in your country.
