Creating your company profile

Your profile is a statement or paragraph of text that introduces and explains who you are and what your company is about. You will then use your profile as promotional literature for stores. The company profile will also form the basis of all of your marketing and will also help you to create your sales pitch. Begin your company profile by writing down a list of the key contents about your brand that should be included in your profile. You should then build the paragraphs around these key points so that it flows in a readable manner. Remember to keep it short, snappy and straight to the point, avoiding any unnecessary clutter. Make sure that you convey all the benefits that your brand offers and how you are different from other brands on the market.

When promoting your brand you need to think about where you should place yourself and by which methods. Researching your market is invaluable to successful promotion and you should already have researched your customer base thoroughly. Before deciding on how you are going to promote yourself decide on a budget and stick to it.

You will then need to work out what the best forms of promotion are for you and allocate the money accordingly. Remember that you will need to make the money back from sales so spend your budget wisely.

  • What is associated with that lifestyle?
  • What do your customers respond to?
  • Where do they obtain their cultural information?
